If you had to choose between the two, where would you go? I'm not sure where in NC. Near Boeing is all I know. I have no idea where to even start deciding. So tell me about them please!

My ILs are in NC, and I am near Seattle. Coincidentally, I moved here from Ft. Hood.
I don't know much about duty stations there, but I hear Lewis is pretty family oriented compared to Hood.

DH is getting out. So we wouldn't be military anymore. He has an almost guaranteed job at Boeing and the guy getting him the job said those are our options.

In that case, I still say Seattle, but I am biased
DH has fond memories of NC, but we are really more NW type of people. There is a lot of culture in Seattle and a lot to do. Plus its pretty out here

We are from the St. Louis area. So both are going to be drastically different for us. We have only been at hood since DH joined. So we don't have any coast experience.

West Coast all the way. We are in Tacoma. My whole family works for Boeing here. So I am extra biased.

If its military NC, i wouldnt choose NC. even though i was born and raised in NC. The military areas arent the best. So id say Seattle. Just cause i hear Washington is gorgeous.

SC or Seattle, then Seattle. I live in western NC which is more like OR... and not like SC at all.
I have lived in SC. That isn't going to ever happen again, lol. Charleston maybe, but no other city in SC.

Wow...SC really isn't that bad...guess it depends on what area you live in though. FWIW the Boeing plant is in Charleston.
Tough one... all our relatives are west coast, so I'd be inclined to say Seattle... but I hate rain.
We lived in Columbia, SC for a short while, and it was beautiful.

I definitely would *not* choose Ft Bragg though... so if that's the section of NC, then I dunno...

Sc is ok, different cities have different things for an against them so it really just depends where you would be, I would also look into natural disaster stuff :err: east coast has hurricanes west coast has earth quakes, though I'm not too sure about Seattle? There are also alot of "dormant" volcanos in that area, that may or may not stay that way
