You know the ones where they take people to some disgusting place and spray it down with febreze and the people supposedly can't tell they are in some nasty place. They creep me out.

I only watch tv for football but I've seen those. So gross. I think I would be sick if someone did that to me.

Exactly. I don't see how that's a good marketing technique. The one in the restaurant where the guy sticks his nose on like the rotting seafood. I'm like ewwww

Scent is not a replacement for cleaning!

I also don't think that there is enough Febreze in the word to cover up the smell of rotting seafood. :gross:

I always think if they used enough to cover those smells, those people must be choking on the febreze.

They make me gag I have to change the channel

As a skeptic, I believe those sets are just props. They are gross commercials, but not real.

This.

They'd ask me what I smelled and I'd say "Dirt and waaaayyyy too much febreze." Blech!

This. There is no way that is a "real" stinky old kitchen. First off, where the heck did they find places like that? It's not like restaurants close up and just leave crap rotting for weeks. Secondly, there is not enough Febreeze in the world! :gross:

Febreze is way too heavy for me.

I saw it and yes it was gross. I don't believe they really couldn't smell the fish.

I just laugh because if I were in that situation I'd keel over and have to be rushed to the ER. LOL.

Yeah, they are gross. I hate how febreeze smells anyway, nothing is a replacement for clean and fresh air. The nasty apartment one is the worst, to me, be cause they actually have it where people are sitting and touching the dirty stuff. Ick.

febreeze is instant nausea for me. i bet those places are green screens with a few props though...

ick. I can't hang with febreeze, but I also know they *don't* cover up nasty smells like that! If they did? People's noses would be burning from so much being used.

Febreeze is gross. It doesn't matter what you put it on. There is no way to get around cleaning something, no matter how much you mask a smell.

I am also betting it's props but either way I feel like I need a shower when I see those commercials

In college there were dudes that thought that stuff was a sub for actually doing laundry :twitch:

Hate febreeze. It doesnt even smell clean to me. It's just gross. My husband however loves it. Thankfully(well not really, but you understand) Aubrey is SEVERELY allergic to it, so it does not come into my home anymore.

Those commercials are so disgusting. I always think of that show Hoarders. "Yes, you can live in filth...and still smell good." Blech.

:puke: whether the scene is real or not, the commercials still gross me out.

And the screaming JC Penny commercials make me wanna throw something at the tv. These companies need better marketing strategies.

YES those are annoying too.

I really hate the Kit-Kat ones that make the crunching sound. :twitch:

I too hate the JCP ones. I also can't stand the Luvs one where the babies are having a "doody" contest and are pooping in their diapers. Then the tag line comes on "what happens in your baby's diaper should stay in your baby's diaper". I am disgusted by it.

The kitchen commercials make me gag but I so enjoy looking at the really tall chick with the almost buzz cut hair. She's gorgeous!
