Anyone use silicone bake ware?

I have a bunch of it. I have a bundt pan, a round cake pan, a square cake pan and 2 muffin trays.

I like that the muffins are super easy to get out because you can kind of ply them out. I also like how they cool off super fast (but are still hot out of the oven, do use oven mitts!).

I don't like how I have to grease them up to get them to be non-stick. I have ruined many a cake by not greasing them. I also don't like how floppy they are. I often stick my silicone bakewear on a cookie sheet just to make getting them in and out of the oven easier.

Mostly, I use the muffin pans as a separater plate for Kittens lunch :teehee:

We had the muffin pans, I really did not like them very much. I had to really grease them up to get the muffins not to stick in the pan and even than they did not work well. I bought some aluminum muffin tins at a rummage sale for .25 and I love them. I still have to grease them but at least the darn muffins don't break apart when I take them out. Maybe other stuff is different like the cake pans ect. But this is my experience with them.

I don't like mine very much either. I also have an issue with how floppy they are.

We are a cornbread house here, and our cornbread ALWAYS ends up burnt in those pans, so now I have gone back to my iron skillet.

Now when I baked a cake, I did put a cookie sheet under it, and it turned out well, but it defeats the purpose IMHO.

I have individual cupcake holders and I love them. They pop out so easily, and they don't fall apart like cupcakes when you peel off the paper.

me, too. the wilton ones. i really like them, and they keep the cupcakes moist. that's all i've used, though.

If you don't want them, I'll take them :loveshower: Personally I love them! I love all the neat shapes they come in so I can make like heart shaped muffins, and I find them easier to clean baked on gunk off of than metal ones.
