If so, I would love to swap ideas and share successful recipes here. Nolan is allergic, and we think Keller is too. So since I'm nursing I avoid dairy.
I'll be back to share some of our favorites!

We are dairy free as well as soy and gluten free. I'm also meat free, but DH eats meat. How's that for complicated meal planning? :giggle:

I would LOVE to get some recipes. My DD is allergic to soy and dairy, I suck at making stuff for her, so she usually gets something different than we eat. She is getting really bored of the things I make for her. I am having a hard time finding soy/dairy free recipes that aren't really expensive.

What do you guys use to sub for butter and milk?
Soy free must be hard! I'm trying to cut as much out as I can and it is everywhere.

Sorry, I forgot to check back on this thread. :err:
In place of butter, we use coconut oil. For baking and some other recipes, we use Spectrum shortening. http://www.spectrumorganics.com/?id=87 My kids drink rice or almond milk. I also use the plain, unsweetened rice or almond in recipes that call for milk. We occasionally buy dairy free cheese at our local health food store that is made with rice milk. We make our own ice cream with frozen fruit and coconut milk.
Here's a linky to some df recipes. http://dairyfreecooking.about.com/b/ You can also search vegan recipes as these are all dairy free as well. HTH! :hapdance:
