I am from Indianapolis Indiana
I have one whole sister, one half sister, one half brother, one non sister (my step moms child from her second marriage). And a lot of step sibs. My dad loves to get married!
Fav vacation spot: Paris. I've been there a lot. It's my favorite place after NYC. I have never visited venice and I want to go there. My son was the italinan job-the movie and now he wants to go. I'd like to take him in the fall. Well see.
Re household chores- I hate them all. I actually don't do that many. We have a girl that cleans. Dh does our laundry. So there's not too much that I have to do. Thank god

I just read what I wrote and I fear that it makes me unrelatable. :hide:

Fave lipgloss/lipstick?

I am a BIG FAN of the artist Brenda Joysmith. I found that picture while looking for her work. I don't know if that is a Joysmith or if it's just inspired by her. But her stuff is GREAT! You should check her out.
She does a lot of black-positive scenes (meaning no ghetto pix).
Fave lipgloss/lipstick?
I'm not really a make-up kind of girl. I ONLY wear it for work and pictures. Other than that I go all natural.
When I must I wear MAC lipstick. It lasts a long time and the colors are GREAT! I usually mix 2 colors. They are Noir and Icon.

My boys are Darquell, Jordan, Destin and Travis. Darquell is my step son.
D is out of school. My boys go to public - the ones that are old enough to go to school.

To the airport to fly home!
No seriously, I love the circle downtown. Indy now is not like the Indy that I grew up in. We lived in the "inner city" but back in the 70's and early 80's is was clean, quiet and peaceful. WE lived in a little working class area in a house that my parents owned. It was really pretty nice. Not ritzy or anything, but nice. Safe.
Now my old neighborhood is very rough and dangerous. People getting mugged and robbed, etc. It makes me very sad to be there.

What is your greatest aspiration in life? Have you acheived what you wanted so far in life? Do you have any regrets?
WOW! That's a big question. My greatest aspiration(s) is life were
#1 - to find people that I felt really comfortable with so that I could live a fully honest and "out" life. i'll explain that more later.
#2 - to create a fabulous family with a great partner.
#3 - to do fulfilling work that made me a lot of money.
#4 - I want/ed as much choice as possible. I didn't want to be limited by anything in my life.
I have all of those things! I grew up in the midwest in a very conservative community. I was also kind of a wild haired hippy. I felt like I had to hide who I really was to be "ok" in my community. I drove me crazy. I just wanted to live in a place where who I was and what I thought was cool - even if people disagreed with me. So I moved to NYC on a whim 17 years ago. It was one of the most amazing decisions that I ever made!
I feel like I have an amazing life. I feel unencumbered by anything and that I am only limited by what I can imagine for myself.
Can my DH, my DD and I come live with you? I can clean :)
You know - for a while we were looking for something like that. You're about 2 months too late. Sorry.

All Democrats. Let me think. That would have been Gore, Kerry and Obama. I worked for the Clinton campaign when I was in college. We donated to Obama.

Hmmm. Food in Indy. I never really thought about it.
All across the midwest there is fast food that i'm not able to get where I live now. So when we go we LOVE all of the drive through garbage. Arthur Treachers Fish and Chips, Chuch's Chicken, Rally's. I LOVE those, but just got gas from writing about them!
As far as locally owner resturants i'm a big fan of "The Iron Skillet" and "Hollyhock Hills" for upscale fare. And Alpocho Joe's or BBQ Heaven for local mom and pop type places.

I miss Rallys. I lived in Indianapolis for a year.

My bad memory. It's rare that I hold a grudge, because I forget what I was mad about.
Someone has to REALLY piss me off for me to remember.

Horrible temper!
It takes a lot to piss me off. I have a VERY long fuse. But once you do I just might say ANYTHING! I've gotten better about letting people take me to that place so it really doesn't happen that often.

Oh, that and i'm EXTREMELY judgemental!

You know what's funny, I did well in school but I really didn't like high school. In grade school I liked reading and math. Mostly story problems. In college I liked my communication courses but nothi g else.

The teacher that you liked the most taught what subject or what grade for you?
Oh wow. My 5th grade teacher was a lady named Ms. Woods. I LOVED her! I thought she was just wonderful. So creative and fun. I went to a school where I had mostly white teachers (i'm black). I think Ms. Woods was my first black teacher. I just thought that she was beautiful and amazing.
Then later in high school I had Janet Kinner for health occupations class. She was an RN who had become a teacher. She treated us like we were responsible adults. WE all wanted so desperately to live up to her expectations and we did.
Cheryl Lynch in the 3rd grade was pretty cool too. But Mrs. Kinner and Ms. Woods were the AWESOME to me. They made me want to be a teacher.
My mom told me that I was not allowed to be a teacher because they didn't make enough money.

what's your favorite quote/saying?
That's a good question. I like "you have the life that you've created for yourself."
And "there's nothing coming at you but love."

Biggest fear?
Becoming a fearful person. I've chosen a life for myself where I have to be fearless all of the time. I like that because without fear I have unlimited possibilities.
