What does this mean to you. I will not have that many stitches so I am doin it wrong somehow.

Using straight needles or 24” circulars, CO 69 stitches placing markers after 16, 8, 21, and 8
stitches. Your cast on will look like this:
16 stitches (marker) 8 (marker) 21 (marker) 8 (marker) 16
Collar: Work five rows in seed stitch.
Setup Row: Work 5 stitches in seed stitch (K, P, K, P, K), PM, P to last 5 stitches, PM, work 5
stitches in seed stitch.
*Row 1: (RS) Work 5 stitches in seed stitch, K to first st before marker, KFB, slip marker, KFB
repeat between * 3 times more, K to last 5 stitches, work 5 stitches in seed stitch.
Row 2: Work 5 stitches in seed stitch, P to last 5 stitches, work 5 stitches in seed stitch.
Repeat these two rows 14 times. 181 stitches.*

humm ok (rs) right side, do 5 stitches in seed stitch, knit to the stitch before the marker, knit from behing, move marker over , knit from behind.

I'm completely guessing.

whats confusing the kfb?
that means knit front knit back
so you put your needle in the front loop on your other needle and knit then without removing you put your needle in the back stitch and knit the back then move it over

does that make sense?

Nope I got that. where exactly am I KFB at. Like before every stitch marker or is that before and after every stitch marker OR something I havn't even guessed at?

Mom

I'd' guess the one in front of it and the one behind it.

This part
KFB, slip marker, KFB
repeat between * 3 times more

Thats got to be where I went wrong but I want to make sure what the right way is before I tackle it again. I dunno why but the pattern lingo can really confuse me.

Yep I'd say it's do the one in front and behind the marker that way.

frogging is part of knitting and crocheting
the term comes from the action of rip it rip it when you're pulling your stitches out
it sounds like ribbet so they call it frogging

I think it will. So far I have only gotten as far as ripping and rewinding the yarn. That took some time with a very busy toddler trying to run off with my yarn. I probably won't start reknitting it till tomorrow.
