i am seriously thinking about withdrawing from my bio class.

i am SO overwhelmed. its HARD. and i am overwhelmed with life as it is without biology. i feel so lost in the class. i am just not catching on. i feel like i need to start all over again.

how bad is it to withdraw?

i am sitting here listening to the lecture for the 3rd time, and its just over my head right now. i think i need to take a more remedial class on bio first.

im feeling like a failure right now. i am doing well in all of my classes except this one, and id hate for it to ruin my GPA.

As long as you haven't missed the withdraw deadline, it shouldn't be a problem- sometimes you're just better off putting something off a semester until you're able to give it more time! :hugs:

:yeahthat:
But if you missed the withdraw deadline I could try to help you out. I LOVE Biology. I know it would be kinda hard to help you over the computer but if you have any questions just ask. That was one of my favorite college classes.

If you are not past the withdraw period, I say drop it. If you are post questions and I will bug my mom for help if I do not know the answers. :) :hugs:

i just feel completely lost. period. i dont understand what is going on.

i missed two classes in a row last week when my car was in the shop and then my grandmother passed away. not really much of an excuse. but its killing me.

im pretty sure that the deadline is in two weeks. i feel bad because its a hard class to get into, and i want to stick it through. but i feel SO LOST. i have never felt so dumb.

Dont feel dumb. College classes go fast so i am sure you missed a lot on those 2 classes that you didnt attend. I think it would be better to drop it if you dont think that you can get caught back up. Have you talked to the professor?

i just sent him an email.

the anxiety i am feeling over my test tomorrow is insane. i am freaking out! i know i am going to do horribly. i just dont get it.

its so strange to me too. i did so well in science in high school. this stuff is just on another level, and like you said, is going so fast. i just had a test 4 classes ago.

:sigh:

I would talk to him about maybe retaking the test or letting you wait til next class so that you have more time to catch up. Some teachers are more willing to work with you if you ask them for help. I would just do the best you can on the test tomorrow and if you bomb it maybe he will let you retake it.

I think as long as you talk to the teacher and let him know that you missed a lot in those 2 classes that he might help you out.
:hugs: I hope tomorrow goes well for you!
I have got to go to sleep but I will pray you do well tomorrow and that your teacher comes through for you.

they have a no tolerance/make up policy. he does not allow make up, for any reason, for anyone. he made that very very clear. he also made it very clear that there is to be no extra credit.

i am going to drop the class. even without those 4 credits, i still have a fulltime course load. and i am doing so well, this class is just dragging me down. on top of that, i am not positive i want my RN anymore, and i am leaning towards CJ. so i wouldnt even NEED this incredibly hard bio class.

i am going to head over to the couseling office in the morning and go from there. i cant do this to myself. lol. i am a nut job. i think i need to take this class by itself one semester. then ill be fine. :err:

I've dropped a couple of times. It happens. Try again when you have a lighter load and can devote more time to it. I know it sucks, but in the long run it's a better idea to wait until you have more energy for the class.

Sounds like a great plan. Dont feel bad about it. You dont want it to bring your GPA down.

I did this with my bachelors and have no regrets. It was an extremely hard physics class, and you didn't get partial credit during quizzes. Either you had the answer or you didn't. I dropped it after I failed a weekly quiz where I got one question right, one completely wrong, and one when I did everything right but probably typed the wrong number into the calculator. My work was right though.
I'm glad you were able to drop and you feel good about it. Take it again later (and if you need help, I have a masters in bio :)).
