Man! There has to be more DFW mamas. It would be nice if someone was south of Dallas. :) East is good, too.

We're still new to the area, so I'm learning my way around. I'm fairly certain we're just about halfway between Dallas and Ft Worth.

About 40 minutes from Paris, I think. It's been a while since I made the drive so I can't remember. It's between Mount Pleasant and Sulphur Springs

Girl! My parents have a lake house out there. I will have to take a "vacation" and meet you! Hmmm.

-Blair-

My parents lake house is on Lake Cypress Springs!

YESSSS. Girls weekend, perhaps? I'm a bit sad that I can't drink wine. :miffed: Maybe I'll have to grab a bottle of the nonalcoholic variety.

Oy! 130-150 miles one way depending on how I go. I can probably get away with it though. :)

YES! Girls weekend or at least day at the lake. With the twins possibly still nursing, overnight might not work out for me, but I can sneak away for a day at least. :hapdance:

It took us 2 hours & 15 minutes from Denton to get there. So, however long it takes you to get to Denton???

Let me be persuasive with photos. :teehee:

Part of the portion facing the road (which is technically considered the back)

Oh yeah! I'm in. I can't do weekend. I have all the livestock to feed here at the house. But a day. Hell yeah! Count me in. Woohoo!

Now when is this? :hugegrin:
~~~~~~~
I can't do a weekend, meaning I can't spend the night. But a day trip is doable. Woohoo!
-Blair-
02-22-2012, 01:50 AM
Well, hey! We should drive together then. :) Pick up some slurpies and make a "road trip" of it.
The day trip would have to be on a weekend for me ... that's the only time my business is closed. Summer??? When it's warmer out and we can go swimming in the lake?
Rocket Queen
02-22-2012, 01:58 AM
Summer would be great for me because my brother is out of school and would help watch the kids for my mom who works mornings.
I'm off work in the summer (school librarian), but it is hard for me to find a sitter during the weekends. So DS might have to tag along if it is on a weekend.
The fort worth zoo is great (much more shade than the Dallas zoo), and the children's museum in fw is good too. The Dallas aquarium is fun, and I'm sure there are park all over the place. My house is always open, but I'm out in BFE.
~~~~~~~
Also the Texas Scottish rite hospital playground is fabulous. We are constantly at the hospital, so we spend a lot of time at the playground.

:lol: I'll be the odd man out with no small kids in attendance. We need to do a get together, even if it's only for a few hours.

If not, T I am coming to play on your farm. :lol:

I think we definitely need to find some time to get together. School is almost out. June 1st! Yippee!

Blair, you are always welcome here. You may get wrangled into doing some chores though. :err:

Mom wants to do a day trip to your ranch once my niece is out of school. If that is ok with y'all, of course. Mom grew up raising steer and had horses, so she wants to pet the animals just as much as I do.

:teehee: It COULD. I really would not mind helping you, so long as I don't have to dust/mop/vacuum. I do that daily here for my business and I'd like a break. I really do want to make a trip out there one Saturday/Sunday, when you have time.

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. If you are ever around the Denton area again for business please stop by for the Preschoolers to see you. :lol: They'd flip.

Girl! Outside chores, outside!!! :) No inside chores. I try to keep up with those.

We don't do a ton of funerals up that way, but when we do another I will certainly let you know. :hi5:

Ugh, I know how that is. We have a property management handling our other property/rent house right now because DH is traveling too much to take care of it himself.

FUN!!!!! We went to Glen Rose with the inlaws last year and it was so fun. The kids went to the dinosaur park but I had to miss it. Maybe I'll take them back so I can see it and pick some berries too. They would love that!
