Oh I have a few...
Civil rights (gay rights) woman's rights.... those are probably the biggest... And yes I do make judgments i think everyone does... but I have very good friends with the exact opposite beliefs as mine haha... So while I judge the belief I am usually pretty good at seeing the bigger picture of who the person IS. KWIM?

Gay rights.
It really boggles my mind that we have to VOTE (if we're even lucky that it gets put to one) to determine whether gay people can have the same rights as hetero people. I don't understand it. |

Hmmm, I have a few but I'd say circumcision is pretty high up there. I equate it with FGM and I feel the only time it should EVER be done is to correct issues like hypospadias.
I absolutely make judgments when it comes to circumcision. I will not respect the "choice". For me, it's not a live and let live situation. It's a human rights issue. Breastfeeding, womens rights and gay rights are also extremely important to me.

Where do I start? Abortion, infant body modification, vaxing, car seat safety...I could go on and on.
I would love to say no I don't judge people..and I really try hard not too..but as a human and a sinful one at that, I do catch myself judging people more than I want to. |

Gay rights (specifically Marriage ATM) & Choice (even though it would not e my choice, I feel that women MUST have options) {so in general FREEDOM - isn't that what we're always fighting/strong-arming others for?}
I try not to judge, but I do and it's hard. When I see bigotry and hypocrisy in general I have a hard time...and don't get me started on the that think that women "can't" or "shouldn't" do...who think that $.75 on the male dollar is acceptable...~~~~~~~ Quote:

Its not really a hot button issue but postional plagiocephaly. this whole back to sleep movement is just making alot of flat headed babies and if you don't catch it in time to fix it, they'r estuck with a flat head forever.... the sleeping thing isn't so bad in itself, but its the constantly being carried around in buckets, the swing, the bouncer, the bed on their backs. Its too much.. there are so many simple things to do - like wear the baby, buy a noggin nest, etc that you can do if you truly want your baby to sleep on their back. Just do other things too so baby isn't on her back 24/7 and ends up with a misshapen head- super flat and with a big high point on top. that makes me so frustrated.

I have several as well, but I guess the one I'm most passionate about is buying fair trade goods and supporting fair trade industry. And I've gotten even worse about it since becoming a mother.
I wouldn't even let DH buy me a diamond engagement ring because I refuse to support the diamond industry. I couldn't bear the thought of the symbol of my love being the product of someone elses misery. Since becoming a mother I've become even more passionate about this issue. If you do a little research into the way certain products are made you find out that there are often young children either being forced to work themselves in terrible conditions or being orphaned/starved because of the terrible conditions their parents are forced to work in. You absolutely would not BELIEVE some of the companies with terrible human rights violations. It makes life a lot more difficult (especially living in Korea) having to research everything you buy, but it's important to me. I'm also pretty insane about buying non-electronic, non-plastic, non-toxic toys. As for other people's opinions, I can respect someone's opinion, even if I disagree provided it is not harmful to other people. For instance, I cannot tolerate being "passionate" about discrimination. But if other people are pro-plastic toys I can deal with that... it's their decision. I may try to pass on info I have, but I'm not going to freak about it. I do get a little nuts about the Fair Trade thing, but honestly, I've never met anyone who disagreed with me once they actually knew the facts. As my best friend said,"Thanks Rachel, I can never drink Coke again."

Religion and closed societies. ~~~~~~~ *snort* Shannon, I didnt even see your answer before I posted. heh heh heh.
