IS it because he is a boy that he is so whiny?
Max is making me mad! When he is with me he spends most of it standing and clinging to me and screaming. I mean forever, unless I am holding him, which I just can not do all day long. He likes the carrier, but only to sleep in, so that is out for general use.
It just kills me, because right after a bit whining/shreiking fit, Dh comes and I go hide in the office and he doesn't make a peep. Is it just "mommy's boy" syndrome?

I thought that was a girl thing. Maybe it's just a different child thing?! DG is pretty independent but he'll drive by hug & kiss me while he's playing. It's the cutest, he'll wrap his arms around my head & squeeze and open mouth kisses me. melts my heart everytime!

I shouldn't be complaining when I am sick. I am just irritable. I love him and he is very sweet in general.

My boy was like that. My girl came out of my uterus smiling, I swear
  BTDT. It does pass, but even at 4, my boy is my clingy/whiny one.

Ugh, I HATE the whining! I don't think it's just a boy thing, although I have no girls so I can't really say. Jameson is 4 and still whines but thankfully he is old enough to understand when I tell him, "Mommy can't understand you when you whine, talk in your normal voice." He, also, is better for Daddy than for me. I think it's because DH rarely takes care of him?

Not a boy thing. My youngest 2 are whiners. Although Riley is getting that shrill voice now which is almost worse. I ask Laney if she's sick of hearing herself yet. Sorry you're sick, that makes it hard to deal.

Cody is a whiner. An often whiner. Always has been, probably always will be.
 He can be very sweet and well behaved but the whining is hard to deal with in the moment, that's for sure. But he does the same thing to Shawn it's not just me.

My DD is a daddys girl but my son OMG he is awful. I can walk by and he cries. Drives me nuts.
