new to group

I am new to the website and also to cloth diapering.

I do not have any as of yet. I am working on getting a few free ones so I can slowly save up money from not using as many disposables so I can buy a huge stash by July.

I have a DS, born Dec 2007. He is currently potty training. He was doing well till he peed all over the floor and slipped and bit his lip open....so we have regressed back into EXPENSIVE pull ups. Which is like a diaper and he is not learning to hold it. I am hoping CD will help potty train him(teach him to hold it better) with out worrying about him getting hurt on the tile floor again.

I also have a DD, born Jan 2010. I am looking forward to CDing with her.

We are struggling with money, have been for a few months, but I hope to be able to be out of our money funk in a few months. When I was in labor we got into a car accident, I had to be rushed to the ER, our car was totaled. DD was sick and was in and out of the hospital for testing and 24 hours in NICU for about 4 weeks. The hospital was an hour away, hard to do with no car. SO we had to get another car, now we have 2 car payments, higher car insurance because of the accident. To top it off, my insurance refuses to pay any part of the NICU and other blood work visits for DD.

I am looking forward to learning about the different kinds of diapers. I know a bit already but to enough to know what would work for us or anything like that.

I am new too!

I know how it is to be on a tight budget, seems every time things are good a string of bad things happen and we get back to being oh so tight. We had that happen a bit ago and now I am making a whole newborn stash of cloth diapers for this new baby due very very soon. Way worth it and so good on the budget! I know things will get better here and I can get to buying bigger sizes of diapers I love. I hope things go well for you too!

With your little one being some months old maybe try selling or trading her too small things for diapers that will fit her and her big brother?
